Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Welcomes Senator Moore

Worcester, MA – April 5, 2019: Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center welcomed Senator Michael Moore on Friday morning to their center. While visiting, Senator Moore spoke with staff and residents about the growing financial gap in funding for nursing home care in Massachusetts. His visit consisted of a tour of the facility where he was able to see and hear first hand who the center cares for and how they provide that care.

With the growing financial crisis many nursing homes throughout Massachusetts are facing, the center has worked with legislators to educate them on the changes that have taken place in nursing homes throughout the state in recent years. Worcester Rehabilitation took the opportunity to discuss with Senator Moore how the lack of increased funding over the past 12 years has affected all aspects of the center, from care to recruitment and retention of staff.
